Get Expert Advice Through an Online Consultation

From unexpected symptoms to lingering issues, we make it easy to talk to a doctor about what's bothering you.

Primary care and urgent care consultations start from 20 GBP, specialist consultations start from 100 GBP, and each doctor sets their own fee for your request. You see the exact figure before you confirm, nothing is charged until you accept an offer, and you can book as a guest with no signup. The fee covers the consultation and whatever you asked for on the booking form, a prescription included.

  • Trusted Healthcare ProfessionalsEvery consultation is a video call with a licensed, English speaking doctor.
  • Prescription by emailFrom 20 GBP, asked for after the consultation and charged separately. Your doctor emails it to you where they judge it clinically appropriate, and refunds you if they decide against it. It can only be dispensed in the country where your doctor is licensed, and not every pharmacy accepts an electronic prescription. Controlled drugs cannot be prescribed.
  • 7-Day Follow-Up IncludedMessage the same doctor for seven days afterwards, at no extra cost.

What a video consultation cannot do

Time Medics is not an emergency service. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, heavy bleeding, a serious injury or signs of a stroke, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. Some problems cannot be assessed safely on camera, and controlled drugs cannot be prescribed online. When that is the case the doctor will say so during the call and tell you what to ask for locally.

After the call

How Your Prescription Reaches You

Where medication is clinically appropriate, your doctor writes the prescription during or straight after the consultation and emails it to you. It costs from 20 GBP and is not part of the consultation fee.

Dispensed Where Your Doctor Is Licensed
A prescription can only be dispensed in the country where your doctor is licensed. If you are somewhere else, a pharmacy there will not be able to fill it, so check where your doctor is licensed before you pay for one.
Easy Renewals
If you forgot your meds or ran out, request a quick refill without repeating everything. A renewal is a prescription like any other, so the same charge and the same dispensing rules apply.

Where a prescription can be dispensed

A prescription can only be dispensed in the country where your doctor is licensed. If you are travelling, a pharmacy in the country you are in will not be able to fill it. Check where your doctor is licensed before you pay, and ask them if you are not sure. These are electronic prescriptions, and some pharmacies cannot accept one. Finding a pharmacy that will accept it is up to you, and if you cannot find one, neither your doctor nor Time Medics is liable for that. Ringing a pharmacy near you to ask first is the quickest way to know.

What the prescription does not cover

Controlled drugs cannot be prescribed online, whatever the circumstances. A prescription is a separate request you make from your appointment page after the consultation, priced there before you pay, and your doctor issues one only where it is clinically appropriate. The pharmacy that dispenses the medicine charges for it at local rates on top of that.

If a pharmacy cannot fill it, you have seven days of follow up messaging with the same doctor who saw you, at no extra cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not sure how online doctor visits really work? You're not alone. We've answered the most common questions - from cost to timing - so you'll know exactly what to expect before you book.

Talk to a Doctor NowIf your question is not here, ask us before you book.
  • What's the step-by-step process to see a doctor online?

Start by filling out a quick form on our website, then confirm your request. You will get a reply within minutes with the doctor's time and their fee. Accept it, pay online, and join the video call. Tell us on the form if you already know you need a referral or a certificate, so the fee each doctor offers covers it. If you decide you need one afterwards, you ask for it from your appointment page and your doctor tells you what it costs.
  • Can I speak to a doctor who understands English?

Yes, all doctors on Time Medics are fluent in English and verified for clear, effective communication.
  • Are prices fixed or do they vary?

Prices vary by doctor and case. Primary care and urgent care consultations start from 20 GBP, specialist consultations start from 100 GBP, and the doctor who takes your request sets the exact fee for it. You see the figure before you accept, and nothing is charged until you do. Medication is not part of this fee, and pharmacy costs depend on the treatment. The fee covers the consultation and what you asked for when you made the request, a prescription included. A referral or a certificate you decide you need afterwards is priced by your doctor, and you approve the cost before anything is charged.
  • Can I use Time Medics for emergencies?

No. We are not an emergency service. If it is a life-threatening emergency call 999 in the UK, or 112 elsewhere in Europe. For urgent advice that is not an emergency, call NHS 111.
  • Is it possible to get antibiotics without going to a clinic?

Possibly. Antibiotics are only appropriate for some infections, so the doctor will decide during your consultation whether they are the right treatment for you. If they are, the doctor will explain what happens next and how to obtain your medication.
  • Is Time Medics available during holidays or odd hours?

Yes. We operate 24/7, including weekends and holidays. When you send a request, it goes directly to doctors who are online and available to assist.
  • Can I get strong or controlled medications online?

No, controlled substances (like opioids or ADHD meds) cannot be prescribed through Time Medics. You'll need to see a doctor in person for those.
  • Can I ask the doctor questions after the visit?

Yes. You can message your doctor for follow-up questions for up to 7 days after your consultation, at no extra cost.
