How Medics Works

The booking form asks for three things, in this order: your concern, your location, then your details. Below each step is what that screen really asks for, so there are no surprises once you start.

  1. Your concern

    We Hear You First

When something feels off, you shouldn't have to navigate a maze. At Medics, help starts with you telling us what's wrong - in plain language. Whether you're feeling unwell or just need a quick refill, your concern is routed directly to our medical network, no apps needed.
Describe your symptoms or medical concernOne free text box, in your own words. No medical vocabulary needed.
  2. Location

We Find The Right Doctor For You

Behind the scenes, our system quickly matches you with doctors who are available and qualified to assist. You'll get personalized offers that include who the doctor is, what they charge, and when they can help - all so you can make a clear, confident choice.

  3. Your details

You Get What You Need, Fast

Once your consultation is complete, your doctor sends everything you need - like prescriptions, reports, or recommendations - directly to your email. You simply take it to your nearest pharmacy or use it as needed.
NameAgeGenderEmailPhoneYour prescription and your invoice arrive at the email address you give here.
You can leave the form at any point. Your request does not reach a doctor until you finish the third screen.
After you send it

What one consultation gets you, and what it costs

Written as a schedule rather than a sales pitch, so you know what you are agreeing to before you agree to it.

You receive offers from doctors who are available
Each offer names the doctor, the fee they charge and when they can see you. You compare them and choose one. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
You speak to the doctor by video
In English, on a phone, tablet or laptop. Time Medics operates 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays, and your request goes to the doctors who are online when you send it.
A prescription where it is clinically appropriate, included in the fee
Emailed to the address you gave in the Your details step, at no extra charge. It can only be dispensed in the country where your doctor is licensed, and because it is an electronic prescription, some pharmacies cannot accept one. Finding a pharmacy that will is your responsibility. Controlled drugs cannot be prescribed.
Anything you asked for on the booking form
The form asks whether you already know you need a referral or a certificate, such as a fit to work certificate for an employer or a fit to fly certificate for an airline. Every doctor sees that list before they name a fee, so the fee you accept accounts for the work. Whether they can provide it is still their clinical decision, and they will tell you if they cannot.
Seven days of follow up messaging at no extra cost
With the same doctor who saw you, not a shared inbox. Use it if symptoms change, if the treatment is not working, or to ask what you forgot to ask on the call.
No account, no subscription
You book as a guest. There is no membership, nothing renews, and you pay for the consultation you booked and nothing else.
What a consultation costsPrimary and urgent care consultations start from20 GBP

Each doctor sets their own fee for your request, so what you pay depends on the doctor you choose, and the exact figure is on the offer before you accept it. Specialist consultations start from 100 GBP and are scheduled by the specialist rather than started on demand.

  • When you are charged

Not until you confirm. The fee is shown next to the doctor and the appointment time you are choosing, before you commit to either.
  • What the fee does not cover

Anything you raise after the consultation that was not part of your original request. A referral or a certificate you decide you need then is extra work: your doctor tells you what it costs and nothing is charged until you agree to it. The pharmacy that dispenses the medicine will charge for it at local rates.
Scope of care

Whatever Your Concern, There Is a Doctor for It

These four are the choices on the Location step. Pick the one that fits, and your request goes to doctors who work in that area.

  • Primary Care

For general medical concerns like colds, infections, minor pains, or check-ins, perfect for everyday health needs.
  • Pediatrics

Caring for a sick child while traveling can be stressful. We help you reach pediatric providers who understand how to treat little ones, wherever you are.
  • Dermatology

From unexpected rashes to acne flare-ups, our dermatology providers are here to help you treat skin concerns quickly and with care.
  • Mental Health

Being away from your support system can take a toll. We connect you with mental health professionals for therapy, check-ins, or emotional support - all in a safe and private space.
71 conditions across seven categories are listed in full, from insect bites and acid reflux to contraception and prescription renewals.

What this process cannot do

Time Medics is not an emergency service. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, heavy bleeding, a serious injury or signs of a stroke, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. Controlled drugs cannot be prescribed, and some problems cannot be assessed safely on camera. When that is the case the doctor will say so during the call and tell you what to ask for locally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not sure how online doctor visits really work? You're not alone. We've answered the most common questions - from cost to timing - so you'll know exactly what to expect before you book.

Talk to a Doctor NowIf your question is not here, ask us before you book.
  • What's the step-by-step process to see a doctor online?

Start by filling out a quick form on our website, then confirm your request. You will get a reply within minutes with the doctor's time and their fee. Accept it, pay online, and join the video call. Tell us on the form if you already know you need a referral or a certificate, so the fee each doctor offers covers it. If you decide you need one afterwards, you ask for it from your appointment page and your doctor tells you what it costs.
  • Can I speak to a doctor who understands English?

Yes, all doctors on Time Medics are fluent in English and verified for clear, effective communication.
  • Are prices fixed or do they vary?

Prices vary by doctor and case. Primary care and urgent care consultations start from 20 GBP, specialist consultations start from 100 GBP, and the doctor who takes your request sets the exact fee for it. You see the figure before you accept, and nothing is charged until you do. Medication is not part of this fee, and pharmacy costs depend on the treatment. The fee covers the consultation and what you asked for when you made the request, a prescription included. A referral or a certificate you decide you need afterwards is priced by your doctor, and you approve the cost before anything is charged.
  • Can I use Time Medics for emergencies?

No. We are not an emergency service. If it is a life-threatening emergency call 999 in the UK, or 112 elsewhere in Europe. For urgent advice that is not an emergency, call NHS 111.
  • Is it possible to get antibiotics without going to a clinic?

Possibly. Antibiotics are only appropriate for some infections, so the doctor will decide during your consultation whether they are the right treatment for you. If they are, the doctor will explain what happens next and how to obtain your medication.
  • Is Time Medics available during holidays or odd hours?

Yes. We operate 24/7, including weekends and holidays. When you send a request, it goes directly to doctors who are online and available to assist.
  • Can I get strong or controlled medications online?

No, controlled substances (like opioids or ADHD meds) cannot be prescribed through Time Medics. You'll need to see a doctor in person for those.
  • Can I ask the doctor questions after the visit?

Yes. You can message your doctor for follow-up questions for up to 7 days after your consultation, at no extra cost.
Time Medics is not an emergency service. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, heavy bleeding, a serious injury or signs of a stroke, contact your local emergency number.
