- The consultation fee pays for the consultation and for whatever you asked for when you made the request, a prescription included. The booking form asks whether you already know you need a referral or a certificate, and every doctor reads that list before they name a fee. - Time Medics is operated by Holiday Medics Ltd, registered in England and Wales, so this page quotes GBP. A card issued in another country is converted by your own bank at its own rate.
- Nothing is charged until you confirm
- There is no membership, no subscription and nothing that renews. You pay for the consultation you booked, and seven days of follow up messaging with the same doctor is included in that fee.

Specialist consultations start from £100.00
A specialist is a consultant in one named field rather than a general doctor, and they are priced separately from primary and urgent care. As with every other appointment, the specialist sets their own fee and you see it before you accept anything.
A specialist appointment is scheduled
You cannot start a specialist consultation straight away. The specialist offers you a time out of their own diary, you pick the one that suits you, and the appointment is held then. If you need somebody now, that is urgent care rather than a specialist, and it starts from £20.00.

The fee you accept pays for the consultation, the week of follow up after it, and whatever you asked for when you made the request. A prescription is part of it. - The medicine, which the pharmacy charges you for when it dispenses it.
What a sick note is called here
The document an employer asks for is a fit to work certificate. It confirms whether you are fit to work, or unfit and for how long, and your doctor emails it to you. If you already know you need one, say so on the booking form and the fee each doctor offers will cover it. If you decide afterwards, your doctor tells you what it costs before anything is charged. Tell them what it needs to say and which dates it needs to cover; they write only what they can honestly attest to from the consultation, and if they cannot write what you asked for they tell you why and you are not charged.
Before you pay for a prescription, read this
A prescription can only be dispensed in the country where your doctor is licensed. If you are somewhere else, a pharmacy there will not be able to fill it. Check which country your doctor is licensed in before you pay, and ask them if you are not sure.These are electronic prescriptions, and some pharmacies cannot accept one. Finding a pharmacy that will accept it is up to you, and if you cannot find one, neither your doctor nor Time Medics is liable for that. If you are not certain a pharmacy near you takes electronic prescriptions, ring one and ask first.The pharmacy charges you for the medicine itself, at local rates. Controlled drugs cannot be prescribed through Time Medics at all.
Paying does not decide the answer
A prescription is issued only when the doctor judges it clinically appropriate for you, and booking a consultation does not make it more likely. Referrals and certificates work the same way: the doctor writes only what they can honestly attest to from the consultation, and they are free to tell you they cannot provide what you asked for. Where that happens you are not charged for it, and if you had already paid you are refunded in full to the card you paid with. No doctor on Time Medics can prescribe controlled drugs at all.

No. We’re not an emergency service. If it’s a life-threatening issue, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. The number differs by country, so check the one for wherever you are staying.Is it possible to get antibiotics without going to a clinic?
Sometimes. If the doctor judges antibiotics are clinically appropriate for you, they can prescribe them after your video visit, and the prescription is emailed to you. A prescription is part of what your consultation fee covers, so there is nothing extra to pay if one is issued - and nobody can buy a prescription here: a doctor who decides antibiotics are not appropriate will say so. Remember that it can only be dispensed in the country where your doctor is licensed, and that some pharmacies do not accept electronic prescriptions.Is Time Medics available during holidays or odd hours?
